Final Fundraising Numbers Show Corey Mosher Out-raising Opponent by More Than Triple

Mosher’s campaign announced on Tuesday afternoon that the final BOE filing showed their amount raised and cash on hand totals to be significantly higher than their opponent’s.

On Tuesday, June 16th, Corey Mosher’s campaign team announced that the final BOE filing numbers showed that they had raised $24,602, more than triple their opponent’s $8,812. They also announced that they had $6,126 on hand, while their opponent had overspent by $632.32, a difference of nearly the entire amount raised by the opponent.

The amount raised is $6000 more than Incumbent John Salka raised in all of the 2018 election cycle.

The campaign said that:

This report clearly shows that we are in the best position to defeat John Salka. All of this money came from enthusiastic grassroots donations. It indicates the excitement that Corey generates, while our cash on hand number highlights that this is a campaign built with a plan for the General Election. In a year filled with financial hardship and in both a Congressional and Presidential election year, this amount raised should be unthinkable for a race like this at this point in time. It’s a testimony to the strength of Corey’s candidacy and the enthusiasm in the community for him.

Planned Parenthood Endorses Corey Mosher for Assembly

The healthcare organization informed Mosher in a letter that he had earned their support after they reviewed his positions and spoke with him.

On Monday, July 15th, Corey Mosher’s campaign team announced that he had received the endorsement of Planned Parenthood Empire State Votes PAC. This marks the sixth major endorsement for Mosher from state legislators, committees, and organizations.

PPESV informed Mosher of the endorsement via a letter in which they spoke highly of his character and his positions. The following is a highlight from the letter.

Our endorsement is informed in part by the rating provided by Planned Parenthood Empire State Acts (PPESA), a review and evaluation of your voting records, publicly stated positions on key women’s health issues, endorsements from other organizations, strength of campaign organization, and likelihood of success on Election Day.

New York State is a leader in progressive politics. The 2019 legislative session brought sweeping change to NY. At a time when our health, rights, and freedoms are being relentlessly attacked at the federal level – we need state leaders who will continue to respond. We believe you will be one of those leaders in office.

Of the endorsement, Mosher said

I am so thrilled to add Planned Parenthood to my list of endorsements. In working with them, I've been able to have a great back and forth informing them on the needs of rural communities. This relationship has been a joy so far and I am excited to see what their organization can do to help us out here in Upstate NY.

He is my dream colleague in the legislature: a thoughtful leader with a big heart and a deep commitment to his community. As a fourth generation farmer, Corey gets it: he knows hard work, he knows the soil under his feet, he knows the economic and labor issues our region faces, and he knows what matters to families in central New York. His work with key organizations has made him a leader in the agricultural community and given him real insights into broader issues of food distribution, agricultural education, and environmental sustainability. He will bring an important voice to the Assembly and I can’t wait to work together with him in Albany."

Of the endorsement, Mosher said, "I could not be more humbled and flattered by Senator May’s words. Working under her was the opportunity of a lifetime. Through her, I saw on a daily basis how compassion and empathy could be brought into politics and used to help better the lives of the people of this community. Working Families Party Endorses Corey Mosher in His Bid For NY Assembly in the 121st District

The endorsement from the WFP is the second major endorsement for Corey

On Wednesday, February 26th, the Working Families Party of New York announced their endorsement of Corey Mosher in his bid to unseat incumbent John Salka. This move marks the second major endorsement for Corey after he was endorsed by the Oneida County Democratic Party in early 2020.

The Working Families Party had this to say about Corey’s run for office:

"In 2018, New Yorkers elected progressive champions up and down the ballot to deliver real change for working families — from landmark rent reform to immigrants' protections to groundbreaking climate legislation. This year, the Working Families Party is working around the clock to elect even more working families champions — and we're proud to endorse Corey Mosher for NYS Assembly. We know that Corey will fight for the issues that matter most to working people — and the WFP is proud to join them on the campaign trail this year."

Of the endorsement, Corey said:

“I am so pleased to have received the support of the Working Families Party of NY. This endorsement recognizes my promise to represent and care for the people of this district. Our campaign is about making sure that no one gets left behind, and as a farmer, I know how challenging it is when Albany forgets about the needs of working people. To the WFP, I promise that my voice will be clear and loud in defense of the principles that we share.”
